The unit of competency requires that participants perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin placed on the floor. Without this being performed we cannot issue a certificate. The trainer will do everything they can to make it easier such as allowing extra time, providing a chair to assist getting up or down or providing the opportunity to complete the assessment in private however in order to issue the nationally recognised certificate they must see that task performed.

We understand things happen, just contact us as soon as possible before the booking or on the day of the booking and we will book you into another course free of charge. If this happens regularly, we may not be able to offer this at no charge in the future.

If the course you are completing has pre-course work this should be completed prior to the day of training. If you don’t complete it you may have some difficulty with the content and may not be able to be issued a certificate.

There is no minimum age however we would not recommend the course for a child under 14 years old. If the child is under 14 years of age, it would be our recommendation that a responsible adult will be attending with the child.

Students who do not have a previous certificate for that course type will be required to complete pre-course work. If your certificate is still valid or less than 3 months expired, you will not need to complete pre-course work. Students can add manual certificates to Training Desk at any time and are prompted to do so when commencing pre-course work for a course.
